Shipping Questions & Information

How soon will I get my products from the time I place my order?

DELIVERY TIME UPDATE 10-02-2002:

Most larger orders will ship within one week after order has been placed, and all funds have been accounted for.

How do I know what shipping will cost me?

As you are well aware, shipping varies greatly from State to State. There are many different zones and weight stipulations and other variables to consider. Because we do not wish to guess, and come up with a general figure, (this is what some are doing) which may be great for some who would otherwise pay more, but is not fair for someone who would probably pay much less, we will only give accurate shipping quotes to your area.

Then what are my options in trying to figure shipping costs?

  1. Go ahead and place an order for the items you want. We will then figure shipping and send you an order confirmation with shipping charges included. If you are OK with the shipping costs there will be no need to notify us as we will proceed with the shipping of your order.
  2. Email us at shipping@thefoodguys.com with the exact order you will be placing, and the zip code to where the order will be shipped. We will email you back the shipping quote ASAP.

How do you ship your products?

Most orders are shipped via Various Major Freight Companies. Who we choose to ship with depends on which company offers the best pricing to your location. Some smaller orders may be shipped UPS, FedEx or the US Postal Service.

Why do you ship mainly with Larger Freight Companies, and not UPS.

Let us just point out the advantages we've experienced using Freight Companies.

  1. We are able to package your order on pallets in large quantities. This allows us to get the entire order to you at once, not days apart over a weeks period of time.
  2. Our Freight Carriers provide curbside delivery to your home. They also make sure someone will be available to accept delivery, they don't just leave it out were it may be damaged or stolen.
  3. We have far less damaged items on large orders with the Freight Companies as your order rarely has to be transferred from truck to truck before it gets to you, which is where most the damage takes place.
  4. We don't have to individually package and label every case shipped, which cuts down on labor costs.
